    Golf courses (ex, in Southeast Asia) typically proceed with rounds even in rainy conditions. In most cases, players temporarily take shelter from sudden downpours and then resume play. Therefore, unlike in Korea, cancellations or green fee refunds due to rain are not allowed. Please ensure you check in and follow the specific policies of each golf course (ex, rain coupons, etc).

    • Effingham was built in the spirit of the Golden Age, but the club wasn＇t content to rest on its laurels and hired Tom Mackenzie of Mackenzie and Ebert to ensure that this classic design was not only true to its Harry Colt roots, but also a modern challenge. In 2013, a new 451-yard, par-4 home hole was unveiled, and the green of the par-4 fifth hole was redesigned. ＂Eppingham is another example of Harry Colt＇s skill at laying out holes on rolling terrain in a way that makes golfers feel like they＇re at the top of the downs without feeling like they＇re playing an uphill hole,＂ said Tom Mackenzie. ＂The rolling grass also makes it a true 12-month of the year course. Fairway bunkers were removed, and additional bunkers were constructed to impact longer players. New bunkers were created to increase the challenge around the putting surfaces, a redesigned green was introduced on the par-4 5th hole, and the 18th hole was extended to 451 yards from the back tees. Many of the fairways are lined with mature trees and are always dazzling with brilliant autumn colors, but not so much in Harry Colt＇s day. However, these tree obstacles rarely interfere with the line of play, and the club has embarked on a bold forest management program to protect the integrity of the putting surfaces. There are so many strong holes at Eppingham that it＇s hard to pick just one, but I like the tough, bunker-bound, one-shot seventh, which has an out-of-bounds, hard-to-find green on the left that will give you a taste of the 3 on the card. Don＇t forget to enjoy the panoramic views of the Chiltern Hills before you leave the tee. Eppingham has so much to offer: excellent drainage, firm and fast surfaces, rolling terrain, and delightful short walks between greens and tees. The elegant Georgian clubhouse also offers the warmest of welcomes.
